LIFE

I live in Michigan and started drawing before I turned three. My mother says she always worried because all I ever drew were “rockets and monsters”. Pretty much, yep. Science fiction and some fantasy dominate my inner world.

WRITING

I am an aspiring writer too self-critical to publicly publish (but still writing). Maybe one day (working on it).

GAMING

I am a tabletop strategy gamer from way back and first played DnD and Traveller in California just a year or so after they came out. I keep up with Magic and Warhammer but have never managed the time to jump in. Currently, I am developing a game I created titled Rockets and Monsters (thanks, Mom). If you like drawing aliens and monsters you can custom design them in the game. The public demo will be in No ember of 2023 at the Grand Rapids Comic Con. ART

I drew in pencil and pen most of my life (self-taught) but started working in digital back in 1992. I have a hand problem that has worsened with age and I create almost (not entirely) in digital now with a PC art pad and tablet. I often take photos of objects and turn them into art pieces—mostly for my own enjoyment. I have used DA as free digital storage and show,casing for years but in the past few have been more active. I do use stick art elements at times and a lot of nature photography doing a lot of mixed media and digital manipulation. Occasionally a little clay sculpting as well.

OTHER ARTISTS

Total respect and I avoid any drama usually floating around the site. Life is short, create and enjoy it. Many incredible and gifted artists are on DA and I try to push forward the ones who impress me. Talk to me anytime. In my entire time here I have only interacted twice with “real jerks” (one briefly social stalked me). I rarely block anyone but if someone is negatively obsessed and fixated, I will. That isn’t 99.9% of the people I see here, fortunately.
